Description

Since the early 70s AFB produces a range of diverse small and medium earrings formed through geometric prints, polished brass and satin, stuck and welded together. They take the form of ornaments wavy, lines or squares, where the intertwining and overlapping of the various parts in gold or silver resume a formal concept alreadyused in the 60s. The gold of that period had in fact produced examples, as for these bijoux, used the contrast of sniny metal with that rough or satin. Also why the node was developed already in jewelry 60s, for example, in the florentine goldsmith Enrico Serafini had produced in recent years small earrings root knotted, while houses important as Mellerio had submitted, in the same decade they belong to these bijoux, the clip with two rings chianed together. The pieces of AFB nodes ranging from the simplest to the more complex and creative, these clean lines were embedded rhinestones colorless or small cabochon in imitation of precious stones. Of particular note are the earrings with the working of the “lanyard”, a technique used in the ornaments handmade florentine. It was done by many companies including that Igino Marroncini, and its one of its internal welders, specialized in this decorative technique was employed by the AFBfor its production. The brass wires twisted to form a small twinetwisted, or chains, were welded on a printed hemispherical, said mother hen. This hemisperical shape was widespread in earrings 60s and is also found in plastic or metal with more stones or enamel. The use of lanyard was also common to gold and adopted in other types of jewelry such as necklaces and rings.
